“PHOENIX, ARIZONA. VALLEY OF THE SUN, HOME TO SOME OF THE BEST GOLF COURSES IN THE COUNTRY AND THE MOST PER CAPITA IN THE USA. WHY AM I TALKING ABOUT GOLF COURSES, YOU MIGHT ASK? BECAUSE THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE TO ENJOY HIGH SPEED ROLLING HILLS, SMOOTH CONCRETE, AND OFF CAMBER TWISTY TURNS.

THIS RIDE IS A VARIATION OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE MOUNTAIN BIKE/GRAVEL TRAILS IN PARADISE VALLEY, AND A LONG RUN OF GOLF COURSE CART PATH POACHING. A LITTLE KNOWN FACT IS THAT THE MAJORITY OF GOLF COURSES IN THE VALLEY THAT ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC CONTAIN BIKE PATHS WHICH ARE A BLAST TO RIDE. USE CAUTION AND KEEP EYES PEELED FOR GOLF CARTS AND GOLF BALLS, AND EXPECT THAT FOLKS ON THE COURSE MAY NOT BE THRILLED BY YOUR PRESENCE.

BE SURE TO FOLLOW SIGNS AND NOT WANDER THROUGHOUT THE COURSE GROUNDS THOUGH- THE BIKE PATHS ARE FAIRLY WELL MARKED. A GENERAL RULE OF THUMB: WHEN TRAVELING TOWARD OLD TOWN SCOTTSDALE, KEEP THE COURSE ON YOUR LEFT, AND CONVERSELY KEEP IT ON YOUR RIGHT WHEN TRAVELING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THIS RIDE IS MOST SUITED TO GRAVEL BIKES BUT A BIKE WITH 28C+ TIRES WOULD ALSO SUFFICE.”
